Here are my top 10 Christmas toys for 8 year old boys for 2015. These are either toys that I know my 8 year old loves, or toys that are on his wishlist. Make sure to check out my top 10 toys for 5 year old boys and the Toy Monitor for comparable prices.
Kyle (8) is notoriously hard to buy for and he doesn’t even know what he wants this Christmas. When I asked him the other day his response was “I’m going to ask Santa for a surprise”. So in an attempt at getting more of an idea of what he might like I have shown him some ideas.
Monopoly Here and Now Game £16.50
John Adams Mr Creepy Practical Jokes TV Craft Kit
£11.39
He has the Enchanted Woodland set of books (see number 7). I had got them for him last Christmas but kept them in the present box as he had so much stuff already. I gave them to him for his 8th Birthday and he was actually really excited to receive them. We share a chapter from the books each night and he is really enjoying the stories. It’s also nice for me as it takes me back to being a kid and being read the stories. The Mr Creepy Practical Jokes (see number 10) he got for his Birthday and it has given him much pleasure to gross us all out with the jokes.
The rest of the items are either toys he has asked for or ones that I think he would like. He has a Kiddizoom camera and uses it quite a lot so the new Action Cam would be great, he would love to be able to strap it to his bike helmet and take it under the water. Pie Face looks like a nightmare personally, however every time it come on the TV he asks for it. He is a big Minecraft fan so anything from that would go down well. He had a lego set for his Birthday which he enjoyed making so I’ve added another one of them in as Christmas isn’t complete without some lego. He love Star Wars and although he already has a light saber, apperently the new ones are ‘Really cool’.
We have had another of the Horrible Science Kits and he really enjoyed it so I think the Explosive Experiments would be popular. The Nerf Gun is another one of those toys that is big and gets in the way, however they do play with them quite a bit and it’s another one that he exclaims ‘cool’ at. Finally I chose the Monopoly game. He has been playing the Junior version for a while now and the World version looks like fun, although I might change my mind when we have been playing it for hours!
