Spring trends you can start wearing now

All those spring clothes hanging on the rails in the shops at the moment currently feel like they are there to taunt us don’t they?  I know Spring is meant to be around the corner, but with temperatures not reaching above zero this week, Spring seems like it is never actually going to arrive. If like me, you are despairing at the thought of another day, another jumper, then check out these Spring trends that you can start experimenting with now.

Ice Cream Pastels

While pastels are hardly new, I can’t wait to wear this season’s ice cream hues. A great way to bring a little sunshine to your wintery outfits is to wear these delicate shades on, or with chunky knits. Like in the photo above, try teaming a pink pleated midi skirt with a grey jumper and boots.

Slogan Tees

Slogans are showing no signs of a dip in popularity any time soon. So put on a slogan tee and team it with some jeans and a chunky knit cardigan.

Grab a handbag in a violet shade and you will be good to go.

Bright Colours

Feeling brave? Then this is the trend for you to try. Bright colours are nothing new for Spring and Summer, but the colours to look out for this year are primary shades from tomato red and cobalt blue, to emerald green and Pantone’s Colour of the Year, Ultraviolet!

Style it with a bright dress over jeans, some statement earrings or a pair of boots.

Dresses Over Jeans

It’s like the 90’s, but a little classier. Think a bright floral midi dress over jeans, or a maxi wrap dress undone as a long feminine cardigan. A perfect outfit for layering in the colder weather.

Still not convinced? Check out this guide on how to wear a dress over trousers and not look like an idiot!

80’s for Going Out Out!

Having a night out? Then go for an 8os style dress and look for silk, shoulder pads, puffs and frills with exaggerated volumes.
