A bedroom makeover with Yorkshire Linen

Living with a baby with reflux means sick and quite often lots of it. Our poor bed has been covered in it many a time over the last year with baby girl and so our duvet covers have seen better days. Not only that but we are currently renting an empty vicarage and the decor has seen better days. Our bedroom even has a retro sink in it. I have been thinking about how to make our bedroom look more inviting, detracting from the less pretty features of the room. I decided that new fresh bedding could be the way forward and have been looking around so was I was very pleased when I was contacted by Yorkshire Linen to do a bedroom makeover. Perfect timing!

A bedroom makeover with Yorkshire Linen is easy to do as they have such a huge range of duvet covers, bedspreads/bed sheets & cushion covers. I came up with lots of ideas and decided the best way to decide would be to create a mood board so I could see the products together.

I’ve chosen a crisp ivory duvet cover by Liberty which promises to bring “a touch of hotel chic to your bedroom”. It is  250 thread count Egytian cotton which I always try and go for. Once you have had Egyptian cotton bedding a normal duvet cover just doesn’t compare. They feel so much fresher. The Double duvet cover and 2 pillowcases is £39.99 which I think is excellent value for such a high quality set.

Next I looked for a throw to complement the ivory duvet. I picked the Costswold Stripe grey throw £19.99. I don’t think you can go wrong with a bit of grey in the house. The grey stripe is on trend and the tassel detailing will help to soften the plain duvet cover and make it look more inviting.

Finally I searched the cushions at Yorkshire Linen to finish the look. . I love a statement cushion on a plain duvet and the stag theme is one of my current favourites. As we have pale pink walls I opted for the Stag embroidered cushion cover in Mulberry £5.99. I teamed this with a plain ivory cushion (basket weave cushion cover – ivory £5.99) and a smaller Aubergine cushion (Chenille spot aubergine cushion cover £4.99) to help pop the colour from the embroidered stag.

I’m looking forward to receiving my items and updating my bedroom. I think all the chosen items will go well in my current bedroom.
