When it comes to our home we all want the best, from the furniture to the accessories, every room has to be perfect and importantly look perfect. A way to achieve that great, stylish look can be through matching furniture. In any room matching furniture can make a home look complete. With the furniture complementing each other and creating a nice design, matching furniture is an ideal way to get the look that you want. Of course, you donโt have to maintain this theme throughout the house, but in some of your rooms it can be really beneficial.
A popular room to get matching furniture is in the bedroom, with the introduction of fabric beds. Bedstar offer a range of great options in that department that can match the bed to your fabric furnishings. They come in a range of colours and sizes which gives you freedom when choosing. There are even a range of velvet fabric beds that have risen in popularity recently, which would fit excellently into a modern design. Matching your bed and furniture or curtains in your bedroom can make your home feel more complete, providing a look that will give off a homely feeling. Another positive aspect is the range of designs you can have, going down the more traditional method of having one or two colours or more colours and more designs which are extravagant. It is all down to personal taste, but as it is your own home, you have the chance to express yourself and what better way to do that than with your furniture.
If matching furniture in the bedroom isnโt your thing, then there are still many ways you can enhance your home and another popular area is the living room. There are many companies that give you the chance to buy matching furniture sets, including sofas, drawers and tables. There are probably more options in the living room, you can opt from a range of minimalistic designs to a range of contemporary collections that can give you the perfect look. As well as that, the sofas, fireplace, mirrors and TV units can all combine to create a beautiful matching look. You can even think about your skirting boards and architraves. The positives of such a look can create a very sleek style, making you the envy of your friends. When it comes to the cost, like most it can vary and depend on how many changes you want to make to your home, but there are a range of cheap furniture options that could fit into the style of your home.
Overall, bringing matching furniture to your design can create a great look for your house. The changes only have to be minimal, you could introduce a fabric bed that would fit in seamlessly into your bedroom or decide to make colour changes in your living room. The freedom is yours but with the vast range of options out there, you can ensure that you create the perfect look that represents your style.

One day when we have the money I think we will invest in some new matching furniture for the kitchen.
I am like to do a bit of matching and then through in a piece of furniture that complements the range. x
I love interiors and if I had the money I would be re-decorating and buying new furniture all the time. The bed sounds like a nice idea. #picknmix
A matching bed – the stuff of dreams (pardon the pun)

A great idea – although at the moment we’re going with the mis matched everything until we can afford to buy new! #picknmix
This is a bit of inspiration for our new house. We’re moving in a couple of weeks and I’ve spent the last month looking for new Homeware
I’d love to just gut our bedroom and start again. It’s full of second hand furniture I love many different styles but also love matching furniture soon. Sarah #PicknMix
I have just invested in those very chairs for my kitchen, I love them. When I was buying them there was a school of thought that considered we should have different colours but I just couldn’t, they had to match. The website looks like it is full of lovely things, I am off to have a browse/dream. Have a great weekend xx #picknmix
I love decorating the flat! I can’t wait to buy a house and them go to the antiques and get unique pieces… Lovely post and good comments too. #PicknMix
We’ve just redecorated our living room and I love it so much! Totally want to redo the whole house now though x #PicknMix
see I love hunting down furniture on ebay, car boot sales and charity shops. I just got a lovely pine corner table which I want to sand down and paint ๐ #picknmix
Love that chair! My house is fairly mis-match but one day… #picknmix
I’m a big fan of matching furniture and materials – and I like everything to get symmetrical too! #picknmix
I love matching furniture, it really creates a sleek look and the room just flows so much better. We want to replace our bedroom furniture as although it is matching, I want to go for a different look. It’s just hard to replace everything in one go due to the expense but I don’t want to have the inbetween mis-matching stage while we transition! #picknmix
It seems like we just keep on decorating in our house, once we think we’ve re-done all of the rooms we seem to choose one and start all over again. We are currently doing my little girl’s room and I love having the accessories match the curtains and bedding. It’s a fairly small room but the ottoman, bookshelf and her cot bed all match each other too. I like symmetry in certain things too. Thanks for sharing. #picknmix
I agree! For our bedroom, we have some antique furniture we got handed down from my inlaws but when we bought furniture in our living room and dining room (open concept), we got similar theme throughout the space. It makes you feel more comfortable to be in a room where colours and textures go well. ๐ Since we had kids though, we can’t always stick to the theme and our living room looks like a play room but oh well!! haha
Great post. Thanks!!
I love this idea and we’re just beginning to decorate our house so one to think about. I do have a bit of a monochrome theme going on in our bedroom so the matching furniture would be a great feature to go along with it. Thanks for hosting #picknmix
We’ve matched furniture in our living room by the type and finish of the wood but not necessarily design (though they are both mid century inspired) and it’s made such a difference compared to what the room was like before with mismatched furniture. The room feels more ‘put together’ ๐
Si likes the matching look, he even made and stained shelves to match the colour of our bed in our room. I love having a practical man around ha, as much as I can do most practical things myself – I’m no damsel in distress, it is so lovely not to have to!
