12 Gifts of Christmas. A series of competitions and reviews featuring unique gifts for all the family.

I first came across Talk of the Town Parties on Twitter where Jennifer’s beautiful designs caught my eye. I love the fact that everything is 100% recycled. It’s all made from eco friendly paper or poo, yes you read that right, the products have the option of being made from animal poo. But don’t worry the process used in making the card makes it 100% clean. The elephant poo comes from rescued or retired working elephants being cared for in Sri Lanka and the rhino poo comes from the black African rhinos housed in Paignton Zoo.

Elephants are my favourite animal and always have been. I’ve been lucky enough to see them in Thailand when I visited an Elephant orphanage and volunteering at one in Sri Lanka is on my Bucket list. I love the Personalised Elephant Family Herd print and am so pleased with the one created for us. Those who read my blog will know that my family make up is not the regular 2.4 same surname get up and so it’s often difficult to find things I can get. Jenni was great at designing one for us and coming up with the name the crazy herd instead of using a surname. I like how she has put my two boys linked by trunk and tail to symbolise that they are brothers and how we all link together. I was able to change the colours and see a copy of the PDF to approve it before it was printed on the poo card and posted to me. I’m currently searching for the perfect frame for it so it can have pride of place above the mantle piece.
