Since becoming a parent I have discovered some amazing toddler and child brands and I love that I am continuously discovering more. I was recently contacted by The Bloggers Hangout to review items from these fab companies; Belle and Boo, Cheeky Chompers, Frugi, Kokoso and Piupia. Some of which I had heard of before and some that were new to me so I was excited to see what would arrive.
First up we have Belle and Boo who sent us some beautiful, high quality wall stickers. I was so pleased to receive these as we have recently moved house and are renting. Wall stickers are a great way to decorate your childs room and even more so when you are renting as you can do it without leaving a mark. The boys both like their one “My Paper Plane” and the toddlers “Belle Hugs Boo” is very cute. I am impressed with the colour and the quality of the wall stickers. They were easy to peel off and stick to the walls and they are also easy to reposition. The fact that they can be taken down and used again is a real bonus. We were also sent a couple of their 100% recycled postcards, perfect for the boys to write little notes on and as they are so cute I’ve kept one for myself. Looking through their website I now have a wishlist of pretty girly items for Ava.
Cheeky Chompers sent us Chewy the hippo teether who straight away got picked up and chewed by Ava. A seal of approval right there. The attachable strap is great for being able to take the hippo with us and not worrying about it dropping on to dirty floors. Anything that helps a grumpy teething baby or toddler is an amazing product in my eyes. We also received the Red stars cheeky blanket which is so soft and warm that I’m going to be jealous of Ava having it when out and about in the cold. Ava loves snuggling under things and also likes to fiddle so this blanket is ideal for her with the sensory tags. The universal fit means we can use it on her pram and we will probably use it in the car in the winter too. Being a rather large Joules fan I’ve got my eyes on the gorgeous Joules print comforters and bibs that they also do.
Frugi have long been a favourite of mine. There is something about the softness of their clothes that makes the kids seem even more cuddly when wearing them. Organic fabric is great for sensitive skins which all three have. We were sent a top for each of them, the seriously cute Annie Applique top for Ava which got lots of compliments the day she wore it. I like how the tunic shape style of it means it is a comfy top that isn’t just a t’shirt. The boys thought their tops were great quoting Finlay “Cool, oh wow is this for me? Yes!” Loving all things surf the design of these tops is great for the coming summer. Fin lay has the Stanley Applique T’Shirt with stretchy rib neck for whinge free dressing (an amazing idea) and Kyle has the Rock Raglan Top whose camper van print went down well. The dresses that Frugi do are always a lovely fit and this Little Prussia Dress is my favourite of their current collection, I love the yellow and contrasting stripes and polka dots.
Kokoso is another brand that I have been aware of for a while. We have been using their organic coconut oil on Ava’s sensitive skin since she was a baby. I also use it for myself on dry patches of skin and its a great conditioning treatment for your hair. When using it for dry skin if you keep applying it throughout the day you will get the most benefit from it, it is gentle enough to be used on newborn flaky skin and can also help to treat cradle cap. If you use cloth nappies this is a great product to use on babies/toddler bottoms as it wont damage the nappy. It’s also a really nice natural soothing bottom balm for any normal nappy change. We use it regularly on Ava for this reason. We did baby massage with Ava and I used to take this along with us as an alternative to the greasy oils. There are so many uses of this tub of natural goodness that Kokoso is a must have product for us.
Piupia is a brand I hadn’t come across before so I had a little look on their website of what to expect. I love organic clothing and that matched with the unique style of their clothes I had high expectations. We were sent the dusk pom pom tee which is a lovely fit on Ava. She was intrigued by the pom poms and kept playing with them whilst I thought they were rather cute. We went on a trip to the park with her in the top and it kept her warm despite the unpredictable Spring weather we seem to be having. Looking at their Summer range the Confetti Bloom Dress is my favourite with the splash of colour and polka dots.
Thanks to all who sent us these lovely items, we have felt very spoiled!
