Filming with Vtech Flipsies – Day out in London

Back in August we were asked to come to London to do some filming for Vtech and their new Flipsies. The boys were really excited and so was I, even the early start to catch the train didn’t matter. After a trip in a black cab (even more excited boys) we arrived at the studio to a breakfast of orange juice, coffee, croissants, pastries and fruit. The boys settled down to watch some TV in the lounge which was in Kyle’s words “so cool” whilst they set up the studio upstairs. They both had make up which they thought was funny especially the covering of the bruises.

Flispsies are dolls that all have different dreams and favourite things. Jazz wants to be a rockstar, Eva a veterinarian and Lexi a Teacher. There are lots more of them and they come in little playsets. They look great and I like that they include fun and academic ambitions. The idea of the filming was to ask the children what they wanted to be when they grow up. Personally I think Finlay’s dream and reasoning is the best. You can see what he said in the video below.

As a thank you the boys received a Switch and Go Dinos each. VTech toys are always a favourite in our house and these have been no different. They were both so pleased with them and they get played with regularly.

After the filming we went and spent the afternoon at the Science Museum which was full of engaging things for the boys. Their favourite was the patterns pod we spent so long in there that we will have to go back another time to finish it off. James and Ava joined us after lunch, just in time for the Red Arrows simulator.

We also visited the Princess Diana Memorial playground in Hyde Park. It’s a fantastic gated playground with a giant sandpit and pirate ship in the middle. If you haven’t been to London before or are looking for free things to do when visiting these two places are brilliant.

Thank you VTech for having us.
