Vital Baby Weaning Kit – Review

When we were asked to be part of the Vital Baby Weaning Warriors we were sent their weaning pack to try out and help us on our weaning journey.  The Vital Baby Weaning Kit includes everything you need to get started and is excellent value for money at only £16.50.  The kit is available in gender neutral orange, blue or pink.

Not only is it excellent value for money but the products are good quality too. After using them all for a few months they are still in great condition. The pack includes;

5 soft tip weaning spoons

These are our go to spoons. We like them so much we bought some more as anyone weaning will know about the spoon monster! It’s similar to the sock monster, where do they all go? Ava is at the point now where she can pick these up and feed herself with them as the handle is chunky enough. This design means they are a great long lasting weaning spoon. Prep and go food pots (pack of 4)

These are great for taking home-made food with you when out and about. The lid fits tightly and we have never had any spillages. The pots are a generous size so we also use for them for taking allergy friendly snacks with us.

 On the go weaning set

We use this a lot, because of Ava’s allergies she can’t always have the food available in places when we go out. To save the worry we take food with us and this set is great. It’s big enough to fit a whole meal in and the lid with clip and cover for the spoon means 1, we don’t loose it and 2, that it is hygienic. I also really like the shape of this bowl. I sometimes help Ava to get her porridge on the spoon in the mornings and the rounded corners make it easy to get the food out and on to the spoon.

Baby’s First Tumbler

Ava enjoys drinking water from this beaker and gets excited when she sees it. The soft spout has proved popular for squeeking her gums against when she has been teething. Ava was exclusively breastfed and wouldn’t drink from a bottle but she would quite happily take water from this beaker.

Mini Freezer pots

When we got the weaning set we were past first tastes so these didn’t get used for that, although if you were at the beginning of your weaning journey these would be the perfect size. We did however find another use for them. Ava can’t have dairy or soya so can’t have any of the baby yoghurts. She can have coconut based ones but they come in adult sized pots and are rather expensive. We use the mini pots to decant and store the yoghurts in and it works perfectly. The press and pop at the bottom of the pots work well when freezing food and wanting to get it out again without getting mega annoyed.

Vital Baby also do a Feeding kit bundle and Toddler kit bundle which are worth checking out if you are past the first part of weaning.

I will leave you with one of my favourite messy face weaning photos of Ava feeding herself porridge.
