The boys were both so excited when The Weekend Box arrived in our post box. They couldn’t wait to open it and see what was inside.
You can see how much fun they both had here;
Inside The Weekend Box you’ll find four activities, one from each of the following categories:
Something to Cook
Something to Make
Something to Explore
Something Green
Each activity in the Weekend Box is designed to build sensory exploration skills within children aged 3-6 (Although I think older kids would enjoy this too as Kyle (7) loved it). It teaches them life skills based on a theme in a fun and engaging way.
Absolutely everything you will need is included down to paintbrushes and glue. This is really handy as you don’t need to have all your crafting stuff to hand, or for crafting beginners, you don’t already need to have all the equipment.
The handy sheets have a step by step guide that Kyle (7) was able to read and follow. Finlay (4) really liked the characters and wanted to know about them and who was showing him how to do what. He also loved the stickers that you were given to put onto each card once you had completed an activity. He loved them so much they ended up on him! Kyle enjoyed colouring in the box which turns into a certificate at the end.
With the cooking activity, Aztec Hot Chocolate, we were sent an email beforehand letting us know of some additional ingredients we would need. Luckily we had those anyway so didn’t need to make a special purchase.

The Weekend Box definitely fulfils its aim and provides high quality activities for you to enjoy with your children. An added bonus of the company is its fab Environmental Commitment.
We really loved the concept and can’t wait to see more.
