We spent the first week of August in North Devon, visiting family and trying to spend some time on the beach. (Click if you want to see more of the beaches of North Devon). The last two years we have been really lucky with the weather and so this year to make up for it, it was pretty miserable a few of the days. Ava had a ‘virus’ and with it a fever so she wasn’t great at the beginning of the week. We even had to take her to the Doctors down there when she woke up covered in a rash. (You can never be too careful with an ill baby). We stayed in a beautifully renovated house in Braunton which was a great place for getting about to visit different places. I’ve picked some of my favourite photo’s from the week;

I have so many fond memories of holidays in North Devon, it is such a beautiful part of the country and the beaches are fab! I learnt to surf in Wollacombe as a 10 year old! #picknmix
Can you still surf? I’m not very good at it. Think I might get some more lessons next year x

Awww what beautiful pictures! It’s good you got some couple time too. I love that chair! We have one similar in our living room and it’s so big that you can just curl up and spin around to change your view. I’m glad you have a really good holiday. It looks like Ava really loved the beach. x

Reminds me of my childhood holidays, always a cottage in Devon or Cornwall Curry on the beach love it!
