I love spicy food, the hotter the better and James is the same. One of my favourite flavours is the Naga Chilli. When I discovered the Hot Sauce Club through Twitter I thought it looked like something we would both enjoy. Hot Sauce Club is a subscription box of hot sauces and snacks that is either delivered monthly or quarterly. There is also one off box options. What I really like about the Hot Sauce Club is that they only include products sourced from UK manufacturers and they aren’t the kind of sauces you will find in your local Supermarket. It’s a great way of discovering new products.
In each box you can expect to find
They often include more.
It may also include chilli kits, stickers, recipe cards and more. Each subscription box contains a range of heats to suit most tastes. So if you like it hot and your other half doesn’t like it quite as hot then there will be items for both of you.
I was pretty excited waiting for our box to arrive and James was pleased to open it. (He’s usually not bothered by all my post) On opening the box it was nicely packaged with red shredded paper and I was shocked by the size and the amount of the items. We received;
Salter’s Must Chup (Mustard and chilli ketchup) Big Kick
Love Pickle Premium Chilli Tomato Pickle ( An authentic Indian Pickle made from fresh tomatoes, chilli and spices) Extra Hot
Chilli Wizards Ghost Pepper Pig: Extreme Chilli Pepper Pork Scratchings
Cascabel Chilli 1,500-2,500 Scovilles
Dr Burnoriums Extraordinary Psycho Juice: Roasted Garlic Ghost Killer Hot Sauce
Trinidad 7 Pod Jonah (7POT) 800,000 Scovilles (3 seeds)
So far we have tried; The MustChup. It adds flavour and spice to a sausage sandwich and I’m planning on adding it to my spaghetti bolognaise this week to give it an extra kick. I tried the Chilli tomato pickle with some popadoms and it was delicious, its particularly moreish and is a slow building heat. We tried the Roasted Garlic Ghost killer hot sauce with some chicken goujons and sweet potato fries. This is a regular meal that we use hot sauce with and it didn’t dissapoint. Its definitely hot, you don’t need a lot. We are cooking chilli tonight and I’m going to add in one or more of the seeds so I will update with how hot it was.
I’ve really enjoyed our Hot Sauce Club box, its a gift that will keep on giving as you can’t try it all at once. Any spice lover would be really pleased to receive one of these as a unique gift or even more pleased to receive it as a subscription box. I hope James isn’t reading this as I think I’m going to get him some more.

Medium hot. My fiance loves it really hot
I used to like it as hot as it comes but since having children I’ve become quite tame with my spice – partially to do with avoiding it while pregnant and since having to cook family friendly meals. I’ve started ramping it back up now when we go out to eat or by adding a little hot sauce to my plate 🙂
I love anything hot and spicy.
