Luxury Emerald Jewellery

Luxury jewellery is an ever-growing market that caters to those looking to really treat themselves or the one they love. While there are plenty of well-known luxury brands like Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels who regularly release new designs, there is also a backlog of antique and vintage jewellery that equally fits the bill of luxury jewellery.

Today, we’re going to focus on luxury emerald jewellery and its many forms, everything from antique timepieces to vintage emerald rings can fit the bill of luxury emerald jewellery, so let’s explore.

Watches

Watches are an often-neglected type of jewellery, particularly when it comes to women’s jewellery. Largely seen as a great gift to commemorate certain events or specific birthdays, watches are an excellent gift for many occasions. Luxury watches for ladies typically feature a range of diamonds, which makes sense because of the strength of the stone and the fact that watches are worn regularly.

Luxury emerald watches are truly something of an enigma, however. After diamonds, emeralds are both the most valuable gemstone and the most hard-wearing, making them an excellent candidate for a luxury watch. Cocktail watches, created in the early-20th century as a way for women to tell time in style whilst staying glamorous as ever, sometimes feature coloured gemstones such as emeralds alongside diamonds. Although these antique and vintage watches can be difficult to come by today, they certainly typify the high-end luxury emerald jewellery aesthetic.

Bracelets

The bracelet is another accessory that has many luxury iterations. Whether it’s a tennis bracelet to commemorate a wedding or simply a Valentine’s gift, bracelets of all kinds are a big part of the luxury jewellery market. Emerald bracelets also make for brilliant luxury jewellery. Emerald tennis bracelets, for example, are a twist on a classic that makes for a more unique gift. If you want something of a blend, diamond bracelets that alternate between diamonds and emeralds are perfect.

Another bracelet type that suits the luxury brand is the bangle. Cartier’s ‘Love Bracelets’ are the perfect examples of the bangle symbolising luxury and romance. An emerald bangle – whether it requires a screwdriver to remove or not – is a stunning piece of luxury jewellery. What’s excellent about a luxury bracelet also is the fact that it doesn’t have to be a sign of romance. Instead, a bangle or bracelet is the ideal gift for a family member, or even just a best friend.

Rings

It’s no surprise that emerald rings are a big part of luxury jewellery. Everything from engagement rings to eternity rings are welcome in the luxury jewellery market, and emeralds are an excellent touch for such a gift. Emeralds are the birthstone for those born in May, and a birthday ring – or even a proposal on your loved one’s birthday – is perfectly suited to an emerald ring.

Turning in a different direction, signet rings are also a big part of luxury jewellery. Traditionally men’s rings, more and more it’s been seen that women are wearing signet rings too. Emerald signet rings are the perfect combination of traditional and modern, with emeralds being that perfect green colour that matches both feminine and masculine styles perfectly. What’s excellent about signet rings also is the fact that there are so many different aesthetics and styles for signet rings. If you want something worthy of the royals, you’re sure to find it; if you want something that feels sleek and brand new, you’re likely to find that as well.

The luxury jewellery market isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. If you’re a fan of the brands, styles, and gemstones that have been used in luxury jewellery throughout the last 100 years, then try exploring what has been done with emeralds over time. What do you see in the future of luxury emerald jewellery?
