Summer Dresses, Sandals And Beaches – Summer Little Loves

Well, what a summer we had! I’m now in compete denial about the season change happening all around us at the moment and clinging on to my summer dresses and sandals for as long as possible!

I’ve somehow managed to miss my little loves for July, so I’m putting July and August together. Yes I am late with my August too!

I’ve read quite a few books this summer, but my favourite from them all is, This is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor It will have you laughing out loud, gasping in disbelief, cringing behind your fingers and probably crying! A must read and a real eye opener.

Have you read this book? It’s brilliant! It will have you laughing out loud, gasping in disbelief, cringing behind your fingers and probably crying! I was already super grateful for NHS workers and all that they do and well, just read the book, it will blow your mind! We spent the morning at Great Ormand Street with Ava seeing the metabolic team about her episodes of hypoglycaemia. Hopefully it’s something called ketotic hypoglycaemia that she should grow out of and that with help we can manage in the mean time. But they have to check there isn’t anything underlying that is causing it. So it meant meeting with a registrar, a dietician and having a whole tonne of blood tests today. And we will be going in for more tests, with an overnight stay and possible continuous monitoring. But the team we met today and the team that looked after her in Bedford when she was very ill have all been amazing! We are so lucky to have the NHS! #lovethenhs #savethenhs #thisisgoingtohurt #holidayreading
