Wednesday Wants The Skincare Edition

Getting back into a routine with School this week for the kids and my new work from home role. I decided to throw another routine into the mix. A new skincare routine. I’ve always been a quick facewipe and moisturising lotion, job done kind of girl. Anyone else? Well, I’ve been following the experts, Caroline Hirons and Trinny (be warned you will lose hours) and am starting to realise that face wipes are a bit of a swear word when it comes to skin care.

So this weeks ‘Wednesday Wants’ is all on a skin care theme.

I have it on good authority from numerous sources that M&S do a hot cloth cleanser on par with the famous Liz Earle  cleanser. But at half the price! You can thank me later!

Another brand name I see coming up for not only it’s affordability, but ingredients equal to it’s more expensive competitors, is ‘The Ordinary’. I’m after their Vitamin C Suspension that I am hoping will help with some stubborn patches of Melasma.

I’ve fallen in love with the new Clinique Moisture Surge after a trial. With the weather about to change I want to avoid the dry patches I always seem to get in the winter. I think this could be what I have been looking for.

The Thank You Farmer Water Sun Cream SPF50 is also on my list. I’ve been looking for one that doesn’t leave a white, or oily sheen. Sun cream is obviously very important, especially for your face. This summer I have been using a factor 30 but I want to up it to a 50.

Unfortunately the Zelens Pro Vitamin D Treatment Drops will likely stay on my Wishlist. With a bit of a hefty price tag it’s hard to justify. However it sounds like it is deserving of it’s Cult status.

Adult acne is something that people don’t seem to want to talk about. Since coming off the pill my skin has been understandably ’emotional’ and I have horrible under the skin lumps and bumps across my forehead and on both cheeks. Boots now do an online Acne clinic where you can access Differin cream after completing an online questionnaire and a healthcare professional checking your results. It is also meant to be good for Melasma so it’s a win, win product for me at the moment.

Finally I’m lusting after Biologique Recherche, Lotion P50 PIGM400. It’s notoriously difficult to get hold of with an online request form that you have to fill in before completing a skin analysis. However it is also available at Liberty’s in London which might be an easier option. The lotion is for dull and pigmented skin and get’s rave reviews.

I would love to try Clinique’s Moisture Surge and the Zelens Vitamin D Drops. I would have to agree that they’re expensive and I need more time if it’s worth trying.
