A day out at the Forest with #MamiaDaysOut challenge
Ava loves being outside and so do I, so when we were challenged by Aldi to use their Mamia products I decided to spend our day out at the Forest. I used to live less than ten minutes away from Salcey Forest and would regularly take the boys when they were little. During the week it’s so peaceful and it’s beautiful no matter the season.
Trying to embrace the shift to Autumn we enjoyed the crunching leaves and shiny conkers. Ava just loved the ‘duddles’, puddles stopping to splash in every one on the way around.
The tree top walk is still as fun to do as the first time, watching Ava run up and then back down, whilst looking out all the changing colour trees.
Half way around Ava was starting to get a bit tired so we stopped in a little wooden house in a clearing to have a little Mamia picnic.
I filled up Ava’s cup with the Mamia organic fruit juice is already diluted with spring water and she loved it. We try to just give her water so when she has something with a flavour she thinks its a real treat. I didn’t feel guilty about giving her this drink with it being organic and having no added sugar.
She also had a couple of the fruity rice cakes and one of the squeezy fruit pouches, she had already pinched the banana squeezy pouch earlier in the week after spotting it. I love squeezy pouches as they are so handy to pop in your bag and take with you on a day out. We did Baby led weaning with Ava so she used pouches from a young age feeding herself. They are great for times when they might need a snack and you need your hands free, like in the car. The boys at 5 and 9 also still enjoy these and it’s a nice way for them to have a healthy snack.
I’ve bought Mamia products before and always been impressed with them, the price, quality and the fact that they are organic. We had a lovely day out at the Forest and it’s reminded me of how much I love it there.
