Thinking of meals that your baby, toddler or child with allergies can eat, can be a challenge. My allergy friendly posts have been really popular, if you’ve missed them, you can read them here.
All of the meals are dairy, soya, egg, peanut and strawberry free. They could be adapted for any other allergies your baby may have. More details of the products I use in these meals can be found at the bottom of the post. Some of the meals will also be suitable for you to eat if you are breast feeding and also avoiding the allergens.
This week I decided to do a day of quick and easy meals. Sometimes you don’t want to spend hours preparing meals and thinking about food. As an allergy parent you will already do enough of this.
Breakfast
Baby porridge- Ella’s Kitchen banana porridge with oat milk.
Toast (dairy and soya free) and almond butter
Mid morning snack
A handful of multigrain hoops
Blueberries (I find if I gently squeeze them they manage to eat them better if they have no teeth to break the skin)
Lunch
Pitta strips with violife cheese spread
cucumber sticks
1 banana
raisins
Dinner
Carrot and potato waffles
Sweetcorn
Broccoli
Reduced sugar rusk melted in milk (treat)
Food Products – this week I shopped at Asda so the links are from there. If you regularly shop at Tesco check out this post and this post for links to there. For Waitrose look here.
You can also find some of these products in health food shops and online shops. Please note none of these are affiliate links, nor have I been paid to include them.

So Ava and DM are the same age (she’s one this week). I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled on these posts for some ideas! She refuses to be fed now so dinners have been a bit hit and miss lately…we’ll get there eventually! x
Some great ideas here,my daughter has a dairy allergy and as the last child of 3 who had just eaten whatever they wanted I struggled with it to start with but am now looking into making a lot of her food myself so I know it’s truly dairy free. Will have a nosy through your other posts 🙂 x #picknmix
Oh my gosh, your baby is adorable. I would kill if my son would eat some of these things, he is such a picky eater and I hope he grows out of it. Great simple and delicious looking snacks and meals. Thanks for the share, I can’t imagine having to deal with allergies, great job tackling the problem and finding such yummy things to feed your kids.
I love Vitalite and violife cheese they are such life savers when you have an allergy child. Almond butter is great for protein too.
Thanks for sharing #picknmix
I love trying new things and some of these sound so tasty. It’s so hard to find allergy friendly meals so I’m so glad you’re sharing this with everyone. It’s going to be so helpful. xx #picknmix
Some great ideas here Eilidh. It is so tricky when they have an allergy so thanks for sharing 🙂 #PicknMix
Some great ideas even for little ones without allergies. My little one is just fussy at the moment so it is always good to hear about other ideas to try for him. #picknmix
No allergies here but I do have two boys with ASD (one diagnosed, the other I just suspect) so there are other food issues and meal times are a bit of a battleground. I tried to do BLW with Baby Bear but due to the sensory issues he has it just didn’t really work out, which was shame because I’d really liked the idea.
I haven’t seen potato and carrot waffles before!

This is a really helpful idea – I hate having to try to come up with meal plans in any circumstances, let alone if I had to take account of allergies! #picknmix
There’s some brillant idea’s there. My son loves dry cerel for breakfast too! #PicknMix
Really interesting meals here. Amazing what meals you can make even with so many allergies.
Fishfingers were my saviour when I was weaning M when he had a cows milk intolerance. It something he was guaranteed to eat! Some great ideas for meals here #PickNMix
Glad to have found this via your apple crumble link on #picknmix – having so much trouble feeding my 1 yr old who’s unable to have dairy and now seems sensitive to eggs too. All he would eat was eggs and toast, so now we’re down to toast!!! Lots of things here I hadn’t though of that I think he might like – thanks!
Some really good ideas here. E doesn’t have an allergy but I was struggling for BLW meal ideas. I am going to give these a go now 🙂
